In previous years we have held an inter-club Regional Championship based on the grading routines. With some clubs now opting to compete only in NDP this leaves the region divided in terms of routines being competed and the regional committee has been looking at ways in which we could come together without forcing clubs to abandon their principled decisions to adopt one, or the other, of the two structures we support in East. All DMT and TPD competition in the region adopts the BG NDP structures and is not directly affected.
British Gymnastics are asking regions to nominate keen judges to officiate at the Spring Event Series next year which are being held:
The minimum level required is County Judge (Cycle 13), and BG’s selection will prioritise higher ranked officials although, will also, attempt to develop keen judges where possible. Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by BG.
If you are interested in this opportunity please provide your details to Andrew Jones by email to email@example.com as soon as possible.
Prior to last Sunday’s competition in Hitchin, the Trampoline-East committee agreed to reduce the qualification score for those wishing to grade from E to D by 1.0. Consequently, those who achieve a score greater than 48.5 will be qualified and those achieving between 48.0 & 48.5 will be offered the opportunity of re-validation.
The qualification score change (although, unfortunately, not the opportunity to re-validate), is also backdated to the January grading in Brentwood resulting in a further 4 qualifiers (another had already qualified through re-validation on the day), being:
At Sunday’s competition 3 qualified who would not have been offered revalidation previously and another qualified through revalidation.
The minutes of the latest Trampoline-East Committee meeting are now on-line with updates on a number of important areas:

Congratulations to Andy Jones for becoming a qualified Judge Tutor – the first in the region for many years!
I am pleased to advise I have formally been approved as a judge tutor. Currently, I’m only permitted to run club judge courses, however it’s a start. I hope to get approved up to County and Regional in due course. We now have our own tutor after many years without one, so this I see as very much a positive step for our region.
I will be trying to arrange a club judge course in October and this will likely be run in the Ipswich area as we have run a number in Cambridge & Essex over the past year/eighteen months.
If you have any potential interested individuals, please can you email Michelle Ellis as she keeps a log of all these.
